Interview: Blue !nk - "Million Thoughts"

So I had an online chat with the talented new young South African 🇿🇦 Music Artist Blue !nk, recently, and got the exclusive, exciting low-down on some of his upcoming news and a special scoop on some background information on "Million Thoughts" and about him as a young Music Artist:
>Who are some of your South African Role Models?
Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest, AKA and Riky Rick.
>Do you count Nelson Mandela as a Role Model or as inspirational? What does he mean to you?
He is definitely very inspirational; he is the reason why I am free to choose a career that I want for myself. He's my Hero - my Superman.
>How do you experience life as a young South African?
It's pretty dope living in SA; it's a country full of opportunity. I literally started recording songs last year, and I've had an amazing time recording at a local Professional Music Studio - Mark 7 Studios.
>What was your intention, purpose or meaning with the song "Million Thoughts" - what does it mean to you?
"Million Thoughts" was inspired by some of my favourite artists - Charlie Puth, Chris Brown, Nasty C and Lil Wayne, to mention a few. I wanted to make something that people can enjoy listening to.
>Can you share a few of your 'million thoughts' that you had at the time of writing this song?
I know that it's not possible to completely change the world, but I do think imagination could take us far.
>What are some of your goals and aspirations as a young South African Artist?
I want to improve the economy of South Africa and into other countries in Africa as well.
>Who is your favourite Local Artist and who is your favourite International Artist? Nasty C and Lil Wayne. (I also want to squeeze in Elaine, because she's also my favourite.)
>Who do you thank for the inspiration at the end of the song? Is it a friend of yours? At the end of the "Million Thoughts", I thanked Charlie Puth (American singer-songwriter).
>Who/what inspired the song? People that are devoted to their craft.
>Is it dedicated to anyone specifically? It's dedicated to the haters and my opposition.
>Is there a story behind your Artist Name/Alias? Is there a specific meaning and what is the inspiration behind your name - how did you decide on it? There's nothing very deep about my Alias, but it is a special and significant memory to me. Back in Grade 6 Primary School, I used a blue pen when I wrote my first couple of lines (lyrics) and so I thought of blue ink.
>Who does your Album Art? Is there any specific story, design or inspiration behind it? I did my artwork myself; I always get into a dream state before I get ideas. The ocean is something sacred, and so I thought it's a cool idea to put the moon, stars and the ocean waves altogether.

>Do you have any exciting updates and upcoming news that you would like to share? What are your plans for the future?
Yeah, my birthday is coming up soon in September, so I'm dropping a special release before my birthday. And lots more Music and co-labs coming up too!
