As an appropriate nod and celebration of the life of our inspirational and beloved Leader, Nelson Mandela, today on #Mandela Day, 18 July 2021, for this review I will inaugurate this first post on SA Music Review with one of his very befitting quotes:

"Million Thoughts" by Blue !nk -- Music Review:
The above quote is what I believe and reminds me of today’s #featured young South African talented Music Artist – Blue !nk. His début track, “Million Thoughts”, which released this year four months ago on Friday, 26 March 2021, is a totally dope Hip-Hop tune that is full of determination. The intro has a cool and really #chilled vibe. The beat - beautiful piano pads, background string interests, a dropping phat bass line and of course traditional ‘cricket’ but appropriately #swag hi-hats - creates a very relaxing atmosphere throughout the track. With reference to December, it definitely gives a #summer vibes feel to the song – something to add to your Playlist for sure if you want to add some warmth to this wintry week here in SA and definitely very listenable for when you are enjoying your summer #holidays.
I love the rich, #deep tone of his voice and his rapping style. There are some explicit lyrics, but nothing bad and all naturally appropriate for the Hip-Hop genre.😉 There are quite a few really hard-hitting and key lines in the lyrics that make an impact. {My favs being – “Reach further than before…”; “F* how you feel like…”} – Stop listening to them haters!😌
I really relate to the song a lot; from what I take from the main message, it's about someone who is following their dreams, ‘a million thoughts’, and that you can be successful and make something of yourself no matter where you come from. {Main Hook - “I can't stop myself from dreaming...”}. As an artist, one can have a lot of doubt and a lot of 'haters' or people that don't support you, but despite that he is basically choosing to follow his dreams no matter what other people are saying around him. It's very #inspirational to see someone work hard and persevere against the odds and to keep dreaming and pushing forward. It might not totally appeal to the older generation, but I hope you are intrigued, and anyone who has some taste for the genre and #HipHop style will definitely be able to enjoy - so go on, give it a Listen!
At the end of the track, Blue !nk mentions a dedication and thanks Charlie Puth (American singer-songwriter) for being an inspiration to him. Always #appreciate role models & community; they can hopefully serve as the necessary encouragement that we all need!
The overall message that I take from this track is to always keep fighting for your dreams, no matter what! It’s important to stay positive and never give up despite hardships that you face along the way. Especially, also regardless of your background and where you come from, a small village or big city, that you can rise above challenges and successfully fulfil your dreams! #Keepdreaming
